The Modesto Police Department is conducting an investigation into a fatal collision that occurred on Friday near the intersection of Morgan Road and Nelson Way. According to their Facebook update, the accident involved a blue Ford Mustang and a semi-truck resulting in a major injury and subsequent fatality.
The collision transpired around 5:30 PM, and upon the arrival of patrol officers, the driver of the Mustang was found seriously injured. After being transported to a local hospital, the driver unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. The early stages of the investigation suggest that the Mustang was southbound on Morgan Road, when it collided with a northbound tractor-trailer, just south of Nelson Way.
