An altercation at a Harris County apartment complex left two hospitalized and a mother and daughter facing serious charges. As reported by FOX 26 Houston, the incident occurred on yesterday morning when a 13-year-old girl allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old male neighbor multiple times during what authorities described as a "neighbor dispute."
The confrontation, said to involve complaints between residents at the apartments at 4820 Aldine Mail Route, escalated into an argument and led to a physical fight, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The young girl, after the man pushed her, went away from the scene only to return armed with a knife, as noted by deputies responding to the scene.
Both the teen and her mother, 43-year-old Estela Martinez, are now facing charges. The teen has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is currently booked into the Harris County Juvenile Probation Center. On the other hand, Martinez is accused of trying to dispose of the weapon post-incident and has been charged with Tampering with Evidence, booked into the Harris County Jail, according to the ABC13 report.
The 19-year-old man, hospitalized in serious but fair condition, along with a woman who was also involved but not stabbed, have not yet been identified. With the investigation ongoing, information is still being gathered and Sheriff Gonzalez urges that anyone with further details should contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office non-emergency line.
