The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for an individual connected to a shooting incident in Northwest, having occurred over the weekend. In the early hours of Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Connecticut Avenue after reports of gunfire were made. There, a suspect is said to have opened fire on a group, injuring two people before fleeing the scene, as MPD's official release details.

Both victims of the Connecticut Avenue shooting were able to drive themselves to a local hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
