
Nashville police are delving into a puzzling case after a man was found dead under suspect circumstances at a local motel. The incident, which occurred at the Red Roof Motel on Claridge Drive, initially came to light when a motel worker stumbled upon the grim scene. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the victim is believed to be a 65-year-old resident of Nashville who had been living at the motel for a few months.
Officers dispatched to the motel discovered the man lying on his back in a bathtub, fully clothed with items of clothing obscuring his face. Upon removal by first responders, dried blood was evident on the man's face, alongside a backdrop of damaged drywall, its fragments scattered within the tub itself. The state of the room prompted a response from the Homicide Unit to take charge of the scene.
Currently, the investigation into this death is active and ongoing. The Medical Examiner's Office is shouldering the responsibility to conclusively verify the man's identity and ascertain the specific cause of death.
