Last week, the roads in Madison and Hermitage areas of Nashville saw an increased presence of law enforcement officers keeping a vigilant eye on the flow of traffic and the behavior of drivers. According to a post from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, their Traffic Division officers, alongside troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, were on the lookout for dangerous driving habits that plague our streets, taking a stand against the recklessness that endangers the communal dance we all partake in on the asphalt stage.
Apprehending drivers for speeding, scrutinizing adherence to the Hands Free regulations, and the importance of the Move Over Law, officers were in pursuit of these violators with the same zest as troopers specialized in commercial vehicle enforcement and inspection.
In a statement obtained by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department's social media team, the public was reminded of something essential yet mundane – "slow down and pay attention on the road! We need you."
