For the second time in a span under two weeks, Nashville police have apprehended Kenneth Strickland after a high-speed chase in a vehicle reported stolen, this incident resulting in his return to custody with a bond set at $76,000. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), combined with aerial support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Aviation, observed Strickland speeding over 100 miles per hour on Briley Parkway; an attempt to halt the stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee he was navigating from Music City Power and Performance, a theft dating back to January 23, culminated in a brief on-foot pursuit, as reported by the MNPD.
It was not a solo operation; Strickland's two passengers also faced legal consequences. Jeffrey Beltran, one of the passengers, was charged with multiple felonies, including being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon. His bond was set at $96,000. The arrest was made by the MNPD after a vigilant citizen reported seeing Beltran throw an Arsenal Mini Draco pistol from the speeding Jeep, a discovery made during the subsequent investigation.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Murillo, the third accomplice and Strickland's second passenger, faces charges of vehicle theft and evading arrest, with his bail set at $33,000. Strickland's escalating actions began on March 4, when he arrived at a scene in a different stolen vehicle, an Infiniti. This time, he faces a combination of theft and evasion charges.
