As the 2025 MLB season swings into action, PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, is spicing up the ballpark experience with a roster of new food items designed to tantalize the taste buds of Pirates fans. According to WPXI, highlights from this season's menu include a "Fried Almond Torte," a delicious concoction of funnel cake batter that's fried and crowned with raspberry sauce, icing, and burnt almonds; "Polish Cannonball," which is a hearty mix of egg noodles, kielbasa, cabbage, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a herb crema dip; and the "Chipped Ham Empanada" stuffed with barbecue chipped ham, cheddar cheese, and pickles.
Aramark, the long-standing food partner for the Pittsburgh Pirates, has curated these yinzer-themed delicacies that tip their hat to local flavors, the food vendor building on more than five decades of partnership with the Pirates despite the team's rocky performance with consecutive 76-86 seasons in 2023 and 2024, they are hoping to entice fans back with these new culinary delights. Amidst the anticipation for the Pirates' home opener against the New York Yankees on April 4, CBS News Pittsburgh reported that fans can also look forward to collecting new souvenir food items, such as a cotton candy mask featuring MLB mascots and an innovative twist to the traditional souvenir cup with the addition of a "fastball" cup for frozen cocktails or icy beverages, embossed with the team's logo.
To enhance the fan experience further, PNC Park is introducing a "Popcorn Bat," a large 98-ounce collectible, a team-branded vessel equipped with an embossed wood-grain texture and a conveniently attached lid, as per TribLIVE. All these new menu offerings will be conveniently available at the park's Cannonball Stand in Section 146, ready to satisfy cravings and create memorable moments for supporters as they rally behind the Pirates.
