The New Orleans Police Department has been actively seeking the public's assistance in reuniting a 78-year-old man with his family after a disorienting separation during the vibrant throngs of the Krewe of Zulu Mardi parade, as reported by WWLTV. Clarence Anderson, who hails from LaPlace, was estranged from his family amidst the festivities and, without a phone or contacts, found himself unable to navigate his way back home.
Authorities found Anderson in good health, though they had him stay at a local hospital as a precautionary measure, with WDSU noting he was disoriented during the chaotic celebrations that saw the streets near St. Charles Avenue and Calliope Street packed with revelers, NOPD took care to ensure his safety by admitting him for observation meaning they were taking no chances with his well-being.
Thankfully, this story has found its resolution as Anderson has been successfully reunited with his family; this welcome development was shared by WBRZ, which confirmed that after a brief stay at the hospital, family members arrived to collect their lost relative.
