The greater New York City area anticipates generally mild weather with varying chances of rain over the upcoming days. Several boroughs share similar forecasts according to the National Weather Service, with Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island all predicting highs in the mid to upper 50s and sunny to partly sunny skies today.
Tonight, the forecasts across these regions remain relatively uniform, with partly cloudy skies and low temperatures ranging in the upper 30s to low 40s. Wednesday heralds a slight chance of rain starting in the afternoon, followed by mostly clear evening conditions. As the week progresses, residents can expect a sunny Thursday and partly sunny Friday with consistent temperatures, indicating a spring-like trend.
Heading into the weekend, the National Weather Service has indicated a 30 percent chance of rain in the wee hours of Saturday, with that chance lingering before 8am. Partly sunny skies are in store for Saturday, with another round of possible rain Saturday night across all boroughs. The chance of rain persists through Sunday, with probabilities increasing to 50 percent by Sunday night into Monday.
Despite these potential showers, New Yorkers need not worry about severe weather this week. A Hazardous Weather Outlook issued early Tuesday morning by the National Weather Service in New York has stated, "No hazardous weather is expected at this time that would meet NWS warning criteria," both for today and tonight, and the days extending through to Monday, the coastal waters included.
Overall, the forecast for NYC indicates calm weather throughout the week, but commuters and outdoor activities may experience occasional light sprinkles.
