The City of North Las Vegas, in partnership with Republic Services, is hosting a Ward 2 Community Clean-Up today. Residents can set out bulky items for pickup from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and city crews will collect them for disposal.
In an effort to encourage community pride and ensure a pristine local environment, this initiative serves as not just a clean-up, but a symbolic shedding of the old, Councilwoman Ruth Garcia-Anderson and city personnel will be hosting a meet-and-greet under the canopy on Riderwood Ave, solidifying a shared dedication to the collective spaces that are home.
However, not all discards are created equal, the event stipulates certain restrictions—explicitly stating that liquids, chemicals, paints, motor oil, and items containing refrigerants shall not be accepted due to their hazardous nature; for these items, contact Republic Services directly at (702) 735-5151, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
