A North Miami woman, Fabiola Annelie Noel, is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly attacking her dog in public. Authorities were called to Katz Restaurant and Lounge in North Miami following reports of Noel, 30, kicking and choking her dog.

According to Local 10, witnesses described seeing Noel allegedly kick her dog "like she was punting a football" and using the dog's leash to choke it. The incident, which occurred around 6 p.m., caused public outrage. One witness reported seeing Noel lift the dog "several feet off the ground" in an act of violence. Another witness said they heard the dog's cries while Noel hit and slapped the animal multiple times.

Noel was arrested without incident and charged with one count of animal cruelty with intent to injure or kill.

After her arrest, the dog was placed under the care of Miami-Dade Animal Control, as confirmed by NBC Miami. Records show that Noel has been granted a $5,000 bond and appointed a public defender. She is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center pending further legal actions.
