A burglary suspect has been taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) following a break-in incident in Northeast Washington, D.C. The event occurred in the early hours of Thursday. An intruder unlawfully entered a residence on the 200 block of I Street, Northeast, taking with him property before escaping the premises, according to the MPD's official report.
The following day, police apprehended 36-year-old Nathaniel Robinson, identified as a resident of the Northeast, D.C. area. Charged with Burglary One, Robinson was taken into police custody. Despite the early morning hours when the burglary took place, the swift action of the MPD led to Robinson's arrest just over 24 hours after the crime was committed.
For now, Robinson awaits the next steps in the judicial process.
