A 26-year-old man, Kavon Phillips, has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Northwest D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that Phillips was apprehended yesterday after an investigation into a shooting on the 1200 block of Madison Street.
Last Saturday, police responded to the scene at 2:04 p.m. and found a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was conscious and breathing and was taken to a medical facility by DC Fire and EMS.
Phillips faces several charges, including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, firearms violations, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Carrying a Pistol Without a License, and the possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition.
