Residents across New York City boroughs can expect varying chances of showers and moderate temperatures with highs mostly in the 50s and 60s in the coming days, according to forecasts. The National Weather Service (NWS) detailed that today in Manhattan, there's "a 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm," with a high near 52 degrees, while tonight it's mostly cloudy, later becoming clear with a low around 34. Meanwhile, Brooklyn's forecast aligns closely with Manhattan's, presenting a 20 percent chance of showers today and tonight, and sunny conditions expected on Thursday.
In Queens, conditions will be slightly chillier with wind chill values between 25 and 30 tonight, and a low of 33 degrees though the chance of showers remains at 20 percent before it clears up leading to a sunny Thursday with highs nearing 52. The Bronx forecasts include a slightly higher chance of rain today at 30 percent, with partly sunny skies and a high near 51, cooling down to a low around 33 tonight. Staten Island is also expecting a 20 percent chance of showers today and a high of 52 degrees, with temperatures dipping tonight to a low around 34.
While there's a consistent pattern of partly sunny days and chances of evening showers throughout the boroughs, the National Weather Service has not issued any hazardous weather outlooks for the area, expecting no significant events that would meet NWS warning criteria through the upcoming Tuesday. Residents can, therefore, look forward to a relatively stable weather pattern with the typical unpredictability of spring showers but without the threat of severe weather disrupting their daily routines.
Looking ahead, temperatures are forecasted to climb nearing the weekend with highs in the mid-70s for some boroughs, especially The Bronx which could see a high near 74 on Saturday, and Staten Island with a forecasted high of 72; both boroughs are, however preparing for a 40 percent chance of showers through the night.
