The New York City Police Department is currently seeking information related to a reported robbery that took place in the Bronx's Starlight Park earlier this month, as the search for the four suspects involved continues. On Sunday, at around what is believed to be, the midday hours, a 34-year-old man fell victim to an assault and theft within the confines of the park located at 1490 Sheridan Boulevard, according to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers.
In a brazen act during broad daylight, the four assailants approached the unsuspecting individual and with a swift and cruel intent, they punched him in the face and forcibly took his wallet which was holding $500 – the thieves disappeared before help could arrive, and now the NYPD is turning to the public hoping for leads in identifying these individuals, the Crimestoppers post detailed that those who can provide information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $3,500 and urged anyone with insights to come forward.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained injuries from the unexpected attack, however, the severity of his condition remains undisclosed. The authorities have not yet released descriptions of the suspects or information about their possible whereabouts.
