The New York Police Department is actively seeking information on an assault that took place in the Bronx earlier this month. On March 7, an unidentified assailant attacked a 69-year-old man in front of 925 Hunts Point Avenue, injuring him. The NYPD Crimestoppers shared a social media post on their Facebook page detailing the incident and offering a reward for details leading to the suspect's apprehension.
According to the Facebook post, the elderly victim was punched in the head, which resulted in "pain and swelling." The NYPD have announced a reward up to $3,500 for information provided that could help in capturing the person responsible. The public can call 800-577-TIPS with any potentially relevant details or tips they might have regarding the assault.
The NYPD has not released any descriptions of the assailant. Residents of the area and potential witnesses are urged to come forward with any information, no matter how small it may seem. As the investigation continues, updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
