The NYPD is actively seeking information on an assault and robbery incident that took place on a southbound "2" train near the Freeman Street Subway Station in the Bronx. According to a social media post by the NYPD Crimestoppers, the event occurred on March 7 and resulted in a 23-year-old victim being targeted by five unidentified suspects.

The suspects reportedly approached the young man, assaulted him, and then forcibly took his belongings. The NYPD 40th Precinct is handling the investigation and has asked for the public’s assistance to quickly identify and locate the individuals responsible for this crime.

Anyone with information is urged to call 800-577-TIPS or submit a tip anonymously on the NYPD Crime Stoppers website. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
