Honoring the legendary Queen of Tejano, the cultural hub is kicking off a 10-year lovefest with 214Selena, featuring a medley of events encompassing music, art, and films—a truly immersive celebration slated over four days.
The party starts tomorrow with "214 Selena: Loteria," running from 6:00-9:00 PM at Olmo Market. The revelry continues with an art show and a film screening, complete with an after-party on Friday, a market event at Four Corners Brewing on Saturday, and finally, wrapping up with a closing reception next Sunday from 3:00-7:00 PM at OC3. According to the City of Dallas bulletin, it's an opportunity for the community to unite and celebrate not just Selena's music, but her enduring spirit.
Following the Selena festivities, the cultural center switches its focus to the budding talents of Adamson AP Art students with "Beyond the Canvas." The exhibition, starting on April 19, will delve into the personal journeys and challenges faced by young adults today, through diverse portfolio themes—from growth and change to exploring human emotion in unconventional ways. This showcase of raw talent and introspective artistry will be accompanied by a reception on Saturday, April 19, from 4:00-6:00 PM.
