The latest update, which came at 6:52 am CST, detailed the humid start to the day with a humidity level of 67% and a visibility of 10 miles. The evening will bring a low around 52 degrees and winds continuing to blast from the south at speeds of 15 to 22 mph, with gusts, potentially as strong as 33 mph. Tomorrow will deliver a sunny reprieve and warmer temperatures rising up to near 71 degrees before northwest winds arrive in the afternoon.
As the weekend approaches, tomorow night will see a slight chance of showers after midnight with a 20 percent likelihood. The low is expected to dive to around 35 degrees, and the wind chill factor may come into play as the north northeast winds reach up to 14 mph. The chance of precipitation increases on Saturday with the NWS forecasting a 50 percent chance of showers in a mostly cloudy sky and a high near 45 degrees. Saturday night's showers are expected to dissipate before midnight.
Sunnier skies are anticipated to make a return on Sunday with a high nearing the 63-degree mark and stretching onward into clear nights and balmy days. Monday will wrap up the series of fluctuations with a sunny high near 74 degrees, and we're looking at a clear night with a low around 50, the NWS reports. The fair weather is due to last at least until Wednesday, with conditions remaining sunny, and highs floating in the low to mid-70s.
