An Oklahoma City man, Francisco Jerard House, Sr., known also as Cisco, has been issued a federal prison sentence of three years for illegal ammunition possession, a charge that followed a reported sexual assault. U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester made the announcement, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Oklahoma.
The case against House became clearer on September 17, 2024, when a federal Grand Jury indicted him for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. This followed a March incident where police responded to reports of House sexually assaulting a woman with a firearm nearby. A search of his home on March 27 uncovered ammunition. On November 21, House admitted to possessing the ammunition despite his felony record, leading to his upcoming sentencing, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
During the sentencing on February 27, U.S. District Judge Jodi W. Dishman pointed out the necessity to "protect the public and promote respect for the law," as she handed down the three-year sentence followed by another three years of supervised release. Judge Dishman took House's past criminal background into account, which featured charges of domestic violence and the existence of protective orders against him. His criminal history includes a prior felony conviction for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of a motor vehicle, found in the Oklahoma County District Court case number CF-2007-507, as stated by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
House’s conviction and sentencing result from a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary E. Walters handled the prosecution of the case.
