Tragedy struck Orlando over the weekend when a 26-year-old man was fatally shot during what was believed to be a drug-related encounter. According to the Orlando Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of North Orange Blossom Trail shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, following calls of a shooting. Upon arrival, a woman and a man were found in a vehicle, the man suffering from a gunshot wound. As reported by WFTV, the male victim was swiftly transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
Authorities identified the deceased as Jared A. Kinloch. An interview with the female companion at the scene led police to believe the incident took place during a drug deal.
