The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office has a new Lieutenant in its Jail Division, following the promotion of Detective Michael Buechler last week. Sheriff Knowles recognized Buechler's dedication to the force and his service since 2007, by bestowing upon him this new responsibility. A modest ceremony marked the occasion where Buechler was presented with a new badge, a symbol of his changing role.
According to a recent social media post by the Sheriff's Office, in an intimate gathering, Buechler had his badge pinned by his wife, Kim, which she had the honor to do so. The post read, "Last week, Sheriff Knowles promoted Detective Michael Buechler to the role of Lieutenant in the Jail Division." The ceremony not only marked the advancement of Lieutenant Buechler but also served to remind the community of the personal lives that intertwine with the selfless service of law enforcement.
Lieutenant Buechler's tenure with the Sheriff's Office, spanning over nearly two decades, has been characterized by a strong commitment to duty and a keen focus on community safety. His rise through the ranks from Detective to Lieutenant is indicative of the trust and respect he has earned among his peers and superiors.
The Sheriff's Office, sharing in the joy of Buechler's promotion, extended their best wishes for his future in the post. "We extend our best wishes to Lieutenant Buechler in his new role!" as stated in the social media update.
