Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced Monday the conviction of Vincent Perkins for his involvement in a 2022 shooting in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood that left a 58-year-old man injured. According to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, Perkins, aged 23, was found guilty by a jury on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, and violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA) on multiple counts.
On March 17, 2022, Perkins and others blasted the 3000 block of Page Street with 76 bullets, where the victim, not the intended target of the attack, was hit in the groin and stomach before staggering home to call for help, investigators collected 76 fired cartridge casings from the scene, which they said came from guns of four different calibers, including 9mm, .380 caliber, .45 caliber, and .223 caliber weapons surveillance video helped in identifying Perkins, who was linked to the crime via a sweatshirt he wore that matched one from his Instagram account, he was arrested in May of 2022, while one of his apparent co-conspirators faces charges for four separate murders and three others remain at large.
Perkins is scheduled for sentencing in June before Judge Deborah Cianfrani.
