Spring has arrived, bringing with it Plymouth's annual Primavera spring art exhibition. Running from April 10 to April 13 at the Plymouth Community Center, the event is a collaboration between the City of Plymouth and the Plymouth Arts Council. This free four-day exhibition invites the public to experience a vibrant showcase of fine art, transforming the community center at 14800 34th Ave. N into a cultural hub.

Artistic talents are set to converge as both local and regional artists get the opportunity to showcase their original juried artwork. Not to be overshadowed, the high school students from the Plymouth area are also presenting their masterpieces, ensuring this exhibition has something to entice every taste. As per information released by the City of Plymouth, the event schedule kicks off on Thursday with a literary night that will include Mona Susan Power, author of "A Council of Dolls."

Music and art come together seamlessly at Primavera, featuring a performance by the Wayzata High School Jazz Band on Friday and a Saturday morning serenade by the Plymouth Concert Band Ensembles. Highlights of the event include the Primavera Awards Ceremony on Friday evening and an artist talk with Jamie Miller and Tracy Walsh, artists in residence at Olive Stack Gallery in Listowel, Ireland, emphasizing the event’s strong sense of community. Adding to the vibrancy, the Blue Lotus Dancers will showcase their talents on Saturday afternoon.

The Plymouth Community Center Art Gallery will host a juried exhibition of adult artists' work until May 25, offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate these visual creations at their leisure. Gallery hours run from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with further details available on Plymouth’s official website.
