A man was found dead inside an office building in southwest Houston, and police are actively investigating what they are calling a mysterious homicide. According to a statement obtained by ABC13, the man was discovered after failing to show up for a scheduled appointment just before 6 p.m. yesterday. Police stated that the victim exhibited signs of trauma, suggesting he might have been assaulted.
Lieutenant Larry Crowson from the Houston Police Department told ABC13, "What little information we have right now is the male was working in an office. He missed an appointment, so some employees came to check on him. and that's when they found him." The office building on Harwin Drive is known to house several different businesses, yet it remains unclear exactly which one was the man's workplace. Investigators are hoping to thoroughly comb through surveillance footage to possibly shed light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
Over at KHOU, details about the victim's injuries indicated that he did not suffer gunshot wounds but instead showed signs of an attack with an unknown weapon. The HPD has not yet made any arrests, and the identity of any suspects remains as elusive as the weapon used.
