Polk County residents and history enthusiasts should note that the Polk County History Center will temporarily close for renovations. The closure will begin tomorrow and last until July 15.
Despite the temporary closure, staff at the History Center will continue working on digital programming and off-site projects. Historical inquiries will still be addressed via email and phone, and staff will remain available to review and accept artifact donations. According to an official statement, "Programming will continue with emphasis on digital and off-site collaborations."
