Constables from Precinct 4 have detained a man following a shooting incident on the 5400 block of Monteith Drive. According to a social media post by the precinct, the situation began when the suspect noticed an unidentified individual allegedly attempting to burglarize his vehicle. During the incident, the vehicle owner fired his weapon, but no physical harm was reported.
The suspect did not stop there. As the would-be thief fled, the car owner pursued, narrowing the gap after nearly a block. At this juncture, "he discharged his firearm multiple times, striking the male in the torso," the precinct's statement detailed.
