A pregnant woman was the subject of a violent, unprovoked assault on a subway train in Queens, as reported by authorities. According to ABC7 New York, the incident occurred last Tuesday, Feb. 25, shortly before 6 p.m., on a J train at the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer station. The woman, seven months along in her pregnancy, suffered an attack by a man who delivered a punch to her face, resulting in "cuts, bruises and pain to the right eye."
PIX11 shared similar details, adding that the victim is 37 years old and that her assailant fled the scene following the assault. Despite her injuries, including noticeable harm to her right eye, the pregnant woman was not transported to the hospital.
The search for the suspect is currently underway. Police are on the lookout for a man sporting facial hair, a medium build, and observed wearing a black coat, blue jeans, with black and, white shoes at the time of the offense.
