A late-night accident in Shaler Township resulted in a vehicle tipping onto its side and one individual needing to be swiftly extricated by emergency crews. As reported by WTAE, the incident occurred on Route 8 near the Eat ‘n Park around 1 a.m. yesterday.
The Shaler Villa Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene to find the vehicle on its side and quickly began rescue operations. "Crews removed the roof and were able to get the person out within 10 minutes of arriving," stated the fire company. This precision response likely helped to save the trapped individual from more serious harm. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital by Shaler Hampton EMS, according to the fire company's statement detailed by WPXI.
