Residents who use the recreational courts at two East Polk Parks will need to find alternative venues as both Poinciana Community Park and East Central Park are scheduled for renovations. According to Polk County, the basketball courts at Poinciana, located at 5109 Allegheny Road in Poinciana, are closed for resurfacing from yesterday through next Tuesday.
Renovations at East Central Park, located at 5555 Lake Trask Road in Dundee, will begin later, with both basketball and tennis courts being upgraded from March 7 through March 12. While the renovation period may seem brief, the county assures that the park will be ready for spring activities.
