The State Support Team Region 11 honored the school, emphasizing its commitment to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Principal Sheila Evans expressed her pride in the school’s achievements, remarking on the transformative power of PBIS for all grades, not just elementary levels.
With this accomplishment, Ridgeview stands among 65 Ohio schools recognized for having a robust Tier 1 PBIS system. This system includes clear behavioral expectations, reinforcement strategies, and informed decision-making—supporting students every step of the way. Their sights are set even higher now, as the school aims for Silver Designation in the near future. “We're very honored to be recognized for this award and are looking forward to next year, as we are aiming even higher (Silver Designation),” said Principal Sheila Evans in a statement obtained by the Pickerington Elementary official website.
