A Riverside County school district employee is facing serious allegations after being charged with child sex crimes. David Robledo Jr., a Homeland man, was taken into custody after a thorough investigation pointed to several offenses against minors. The Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET) arrested Robledo on March 20, and he was subsequently arraigned on March 23, pleading not guilty to the charges, as detailed in reports by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office and NBC Los Angeles.

The allegations against Robledo include two felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14, one felony count of possession of child sexual assault material, and one misdemeanor count for unlawfully destroying evidence. According to authorities, the accused had opportunities to have potentially made inappropriate contact with children by his access to various school sites within the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. It does appear that RCCET intends to thoroughly continue its investigation into the accused employee's activities.

RCCET's involvement began after they received a tip in December 2024. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reported an online user storing child exploitative files on a cloud-based platform. Upon tracing the activity back to Robledo, investigators executed a search warrant at his residence in Homeland, where the alleged crimes are to have happened, resulting in his arrest.

Robledo is due for a felony settlement conference scheduled for April 3 at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta. In the meantime, RCCET has been actively seeking more information and has urged the public to come forward with any knowledge of additional victims or inappropriate contact related to Robledo by contacting the task force at (760) 863-8168. They intend to rigorously follow up on all leads and ensure the safety of the community's children. RCCET is affiliated with the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children task force and works in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, including the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
