
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reported a golf cart theft in the Triple Creek Community, Riverview, which led to the arrest of five juveniles. The incident occurred on Wednesday last week, just after 11 p.m. when deputies were called to investigate a stolen golf cart belonging to a local clubhouse. The Sheriff's Aviation Section was deployed to assist in tracking the cart and suspects.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, when a traffic stop was attempted, the five juveniles jumped from the moving golf cart and fled on foot. After several pursuits, all five suspects were arrested.
Sheriff Chad Chronister commented on the incident, saying, “Theft, no matter the item, is a violation of our community’s sense of safety.” He emphasized that law enforcement would continue to protect property and hold individuals accountable for their actions, as per the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
