
A dramatic sequence of events unfolded outside a Chase Bank in Harris County when a man, accused of armed robbery, was struck by a vehicle during a desperate attempt to flee from law enforcement. This incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. as the suspect attempted to cross the East Freeway, after reportedly robbing a woman at gunpoint, according to Click2Houston.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office stated that the confrontation began when a deputy responded to the robbery happening at the nearby bank, the suspect subsequently made a run for it, ultimately trying to navigate the freeway's westbound lanes between Uvalde Road and Freeport Street. In the midst of his flight, the suspect was hit by an oncoming vehicle, KHOU reports. His condition, while said to be stable with him being awake and breathing, has not been further elaborated upon by officials.
