Having trounced the opposition with 3,148 points in the voting, Wypych left her closest competitor, Olivia Flynn of Harbor Springs, trailing by over a thousand points according to a report by WOODTV.

And if being the first from Rockford to win the Miss Basketball honor wasn't enough, Wypych seems nigh on unstoppable on the court. In a season where she's been putting up averages like 22 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 4.5 steals a game, it's no less than her due, to say the least. As Rockford’s head coach Brad Wilson said, he knew that they had something special with Wypych, but her achievements have exceeded even his lofty expectations, as reported by The Detroit News.

And it's not just about the points. Wypych holds the school records for assists, steals, free throws, and 3-pointers. It's a resume that arguably makes her the best player and possibly even the best athlete Rockford High has ever seen. With over 1,500 career points tucked in her pocket, Wypych is looking ahead to leading her team to the state quarterfinal against Grand Haven, aiming for another trip to the Breslin Center. While the spotlight is firmly on her, Wypych has been quick to credit her teammates and family for her success, with basketball being in the family's blood. Both of her sisters played for Rockford and her mother has been an assistant coach for the team, as noted by FOX 17.
