According to a Facebook post by the Rocklin Police Department, residents can expect road closures and detours to accommodate the influx of runners. The police notification states that Argonaut Ave will be closed to through traffic between Whitney Blvd and Midas Ave from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The department specified that local traffic will only be able to exit westbound. For those trying indeed to access Argonaut Ave, they are advised to use Midas Ave, as eastbound entry will not be permitted during this time. It should be noted, though, that no restrictions will be placed on Midas Ave itself.
As if by serendipity, the announcement revealed that Fifth Street will also be closed from Rocklin Road to Third Street. Like Argonaut Ave, this closure will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Given these adjustments, drivers should plan accordingly and anticipate potential delays at nearby intersections.
