The incident, which took a 69-year-old male pedestrian's life, happened last Thursday on the 2100 block of Hancock Street. Amidst the early dawn at approximately 4:59 a.m., a white Dodge Challenger, traveling south, struck the man and fled without stopping, leaving him injured on the road.
Despite being transported to a local hospital, the victim unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. The San Diego Police Department has released a vehicle description derived from video footage of the tragic event. The suspect's vehicle, a white Dodge Challenger, is reported to have sustained damage to the front end. As investigators continue their search, they urge anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of a suspect or the involved vehicle to come forward.
