
Yesterday, Santa Rosa Police responded to a North Bay Motor Sports vandalism incident. According to a social media post by Santa Rosa Police, witnesses reported two individuals defacing the building with graffiti at around 7:20 am. The suspects, described as wearing dark clothing, were spotted by police shortly after, still tagging a nearby wall on College Avenue.
A foot chase ensued after the responding officer attempted to approach, and they fled. Running multiple blocks, the suspects, two juveniles, were ultimately detained near the intersection of Central Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue. Despite the pursuit, the police found multiple cans of spray paint in the suspects' possession, confirming their involvement in the vandalism.
Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the young suspects, aged 15 and 16. In line with legal protections for minors, their names have been withheld from public disclosure. They now face several charges, including felony vandalism, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and felony conspiracy.
