According to a social media post by the Santa Rosa Police Department, at around 2:40 a.m., an officer approached an individual near a vehicle with open doors at a Cleveland Avenue hotel. The check escalated when the officer discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant from Lake County.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old David J. Parnell from Clearlake, was arrested and booked on charges including carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, detailed by the Santa Rosa Police in an online update.
As stated on their official Facebook page, the Santa Rosa Police Department laid out the specific charges against Parnell. These include violation of 25400(a)(1) PC, which pertains to the carrying of a concealed firearm inside a vehicle, and the existing outstanding warrant.
