Detectives in Seattle are actively engaging the community to identify a suspect involved in an attempted bank robbery. The incident took place in Downtown Seattle on Thursday, March 13, shortly before 11:30 a.m., as reported by the Seattle Police Department. Authorities are now asking for the public's help to track down an individual captured on the bank's security footage—a photo of the suspect has been circulated online.
The attempted robbery occurred in the 400 block of Pike Street, where the suspect, described as a male, presented a note to a bank teller that blatantly declared an intention to rob the establishment. The note demanded cash. In a quick response, the teller managed to swiftly enter a secure area and shut the door, despite the suspect's efforts to prevent its closure. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, confirmed by the Seattle Police Department's blotter.
Earlier that day, the same suspect had reportedly been in the bank with a request to open an account. As the investigation progresses, detectives are combing through evidence and seeking any additional tips from the public. "Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is urged to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000," the Seattle Police Department stated.
