While Regency Centers, the leasing agent for the Festival at Woodholme, has not confirmed the grand opening date, the announcement marks further expansion for Shake Shack in the Old Line State. Last year, the brand indicated its interest in new locations in Virginia and Maryland, fostering anticipation among local foodies. According to a FOX Baltimore report, the franchise operates in multiple Maryland locales, including Towson, downtown Baltimore, Canton, and Columbia.
Shake Shack's aggressive growth in the region isn't without merit. The company's fourth-quarter earnings in 2024 were robust, boasting a total revenue of $328.7 million—a 14.8% increase from the previous year. Shack sales contributed $316.6 million, while licensing revenue accounted for an additional $12.1 million. Systems-wide sales also saw a healthy climb, hitting $500.7 million, which signifies a 13.3% rise from the previous year.
