Sheetz, the popular gas station and convenience store chain, intends to massively expand its workforce, looking to onboard over 400 employees within the Pennsylvania region alone. According to CBS News Pittsburgh, widespread hiring events are slated for March 26. Candidates may receive job offers from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at any of the company's 310 locations in the state. Positions up for grabs range from store team members to supervisors and assistant managers.
Amid a competitive job market, Sheetz is eager to fill these roles quickly, having laid out a streamlined application process. Aspiring candidates must first apply online and then scan a QR code at the stores' registers upon arrival for their interview, as TribLIVEreported. The company's hiring initiative is not only constrained to Pennsylvania; it aims to attract approximately 1,350 new employees across all its Michigan, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and North Carolina establishments.
On the upcoming hiring spree, FOX43 highlighted Sheetz's recent accolade, having been ranked second on Fortune and Great Place to Work's 'Best Workplaces in Retail' list – a testament to the company's reputation as a preferred employer. Sheetz offers a robust package to its workforce, including competitive pay, a 401(k) retirement plan, college tuition reimbursement, an employee stock ownership plan, and flexible schedules – key benefits designed to contribute to employee satisfaction and retention.
