A 23-year-old man, Jonah Kimindo Mutua, was fatally shot in a parking lot in Silver Spring on Saturday. Montgomery County detectives are seeking public help in the case. Police and rescue officials were called to the 2700 block of Fairdale Terrace around 11:04 a.m., where they found Mutua with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts from bystanders and the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, he later died from his injuries.

As per the Montgomery County Department of Police release, an autopsy confirmed Mutua's death was a homicide.
