
In the immediate aftermath of an armed robbery that rocked the community, Simi Valley Police Department officers acted swiftly to track down the involved suspects. In collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department, local officers managed to locate a vehicle identified as being part of the crime scene in Los Angeles, through the use of the Flock Safety system. The suspect vehicle was spotted around the intersection of Cochran Street and Madera Road in the early hours of March 8, leading to a well-coordinated response.
As the vehicle merged onto the eastbound 118 Freeway, Simi Valley officers teamed up with an airborne LAPD Airship to execute a precise traffic stop near Tapo Canyon Road and Cochran Street. After the stop, LAPD officers took the driver, Eduardo Duran, into custody, linking him to their armed robbery investigation.
Simi Valley officers arrested the female passenger, Teresa Delagarza, on charges of carrying a handgun and drug paraphernalia.
