According to CBS News Pittsburgh, the incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday near Jim Mountain Road in Springfield Township. Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker identified the victim as Nicholas Herman, a resident of Springfield Township. Authorities were quick to respond to the ill-fated accident, but Herman was pronounced dead at the scene, his life cut too short by this unforeseen tragedy.
