According to the Springfield Township Police Department, a social media post by the department, Christian Ruben Diaz-Sauceda, 24, has been apprehended. Charged with Complicity to Commit Second-Degree Assault, his connection to the case is now at the hands of the justice system. Additionally, an arrest warrant was served for Terrance Lamar Williams, 23, who faces charges of First-Degree Murder and Second-Degree Assault in relation to Cofer's death.
The tragedy took place early in the hours of October 27, 2024, when a 911 call brought officers to the 1400 block of Canton Road. With the fatal shooting and an assault shattering the festive atmosphere, Springfield Township Police, along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, embarked on a thorough investigation.
