The strategic initiative aims to provide a clear path forward, delineating six core priorities: Community Trust, Community Well-being, Economic Prosperity, Enhanced Conservation, Infrastructure, and Organizational Excellence. As reported by the St. Johns County's official statement, Assistant County Administrator Sarah Taylor was instrumental in the development of the plan since 2023, stating, "The strategic plan is a living document that will help us define our future vision for the County." This progressive approach intends to boldly establish a framework that will shape the region's growth and ensure that government actions remain tightly aligned with the collective desires of its inhabitants.
A dedicated webpage has been created where the public can freely access and download the detailed 24-page planning document, emphasizing the county's commitment to open communication and accountability. In practical terms, the county will be using strategic planning software to plan, monitor, and publicly report on progress.
