The Stockton Police Department has reported a significant development in a homicide case that transpired last month. In the early morning of February 15, a 28-year-old woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Hickock Ct. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. Detectives pegged the incident as domestic-related and had been working the case diligently.
After a thorough investigation, it was determined that 19-year-old Giovanni Millan was not only linked to this homicide but also connected to an earlier shooting that occurred on January 25 in the 1000 block of W Charter Way. The Stockton Police Department's social media post revealed that the U.S. Marshals Task Force acted on this information and have since apprehended Millan. He was subsequently booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of homicide, and attempted homicide.
The arrest was a result of persistent efforts by detectives to piece together the sequence of events leading to the violent acts. "Detectives have continued to work on this case since the homicide occurred on February 15, 2025," the Stockton Police Department shared, demonstrating the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to seeking answers and justice for the victims involved. The investigation remains active, with the possibility of additional details emerging as police continue their inquiry.
