A disruption occurred at Antelope High School yesterday afternoon when a fight broke out between two students, escalating to the point where one student assaulted a staff member. According to the social media post from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the altercation prompted a response from law enforcement officers assigned to the campus.
The primary agitator, a 14-year-old, reportedly turned their aggression towards an employee of the school, culminating in a kick to the groin. In the aftermath, a deputy, who was already on site, stepped in with other staff to deescalate and separate those involved.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office stated, "The student was issued a citation for PC 243.6 (Battery Committed Against a School Employee) and other misdemeanor charges." The school administration is now responsible for determining any further disciplinary actions, which may be addressed at either the school or district level.
