With humidity levels registered high at 91%, and the dewpoint at a sticky 71°F (22°C), locals can expect a warm, somewhat muggy start to the day. However, gentle breezes from the south transitioning to the southwest at 5 to 9 mph should offer some reprieve from the humidity. Tonight, the cloud cover will hold firm, with temperatures hovering around 70 degrees and southwest winds maintaining a light 3 to 6 mph.
The weather pattern seems to be setting a trend for the week, with mostly cloudy skies eventually clearing up each day to reveal ample sunshine and a gradual increase in daily high temperatures. South winds will persist through the week, with Tuesday and Wednesday seeing a gentle 3 to 7 mph and 5 to 10 mph breeze, respectively.
By mid-week, Tampa will be reaching into the low '90s, with the National Weather Service predicting a high near 91 degrees on Wednesday and maintaining similar highs for the remainder of the week. In the evening, the skies will stay mostly clear, and the lows will a remain consistent, balancing in the low '70s, offering residents a predictable night-time weather pattern.
